Margaret Doetsch

Margaret Doetsch joined Athena Global in 2004 as Publications Editor. She obtained her B.A. Latin (Hons.) and Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of London, and a Master's degree in Classics from Carleton University, Canada. She has spent much of her career in the field of education in England and Canada, teaching Classics at the high school and university levels. She has also taught English as a second language in France. Associated work has included membership of various permanent and ad hoc educational committees and review of textual material for the Ontario Ministry of Education. She has served as President of the Ontario Classical Association, an organization concerned with promoting Classics and dealing with issues associated with Classics education.

Margaret has also worked as Executive Coordinator for the Canadian Health Coalition, an advocacy group committed to preserving and improving Canada's public health system. In this capacity, she has written and submitted position papers to federal politicians and given presentations to member associations and other groups.

Recently, Margaret edited the Athena Global Earth Observation Guide 2005. She has served as editor of The Universe and Alumni News for the International Space University (ISU) in Strasbourg. These biannual publications inform the ISU community and the international space domain in general of the activities of the university and its alumni. She was also President of the English-Speaking Union Strasbourg, an organization encouraging international understanding and friendship through the use of English.

Margaret is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of German. She brings to the Athena Global team a dedication to excellence and a passion for her work.
